Who keeps voting for these shallow, hollow, immoral men?

To the Editor:

In 2013 Tea Party Congressman Ron DeSantis voted against hurricane relief funds for the victims of Sandy. Yesterday, Congressman Matt Gaetz voted against funds for the victims of Hurricane Ian that hit his own state. Also yesterday Trump issued a call for donations, not for Floridians who have lost everything, but to his Save America PAC for his 2024 Presidential run.
Who keeps voting for these shallow, hollow, immoral men?
DeSantis has no choice but to reach out to President Biden, a man he has derided, insulted, and belittled. The Federal Government and Biden will be there for the citizens in need regardless of politics. They don’t care whether it is a blue state or red, Kentucky floods or California wildfires. That is the Christian, decent thing to do.
Can these three selfish, unpatriotic, immoral men finally open the eyes of their followers? Can they finally see the betrayal of Americans in need and see that they are not fit to govern?
