Joseph A. ‘Joe’ Keiler

LCDR Joseph A. “Joe” Keiler, US Navy (Ret), age 80, of Lady Lake, FL, passed away on Sunday, October 23, 2016. He was born in New York on April 8, 1936 and was raised as a Catholic. Joe served 21 years in the US Navy as a pilot and was a Vietnam veteran. He was an avid golfer during his 28 year retirement in The Villages.

He is survived by daughter, Debbie Gotting of Cleveland, GA; grandsons, Greg and Steven; stepdaughter, Suzanne Sawyer and her husband, Dan of Pennsylvania; step granddaughters, Alexandra and Ansley. He was preceded in death by wives, Peggy Keiler and Carolyn Keiler.

A visitation will be held at Hiers-Baxley Funeral Services, 1511 Buenos Aires Blvd, The Villages, FL on Sunday, October 30, 2016 from 2 – 4 p.m. with a service being held at 3 p.m. Burial will take place in Dobson, NC.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of donor’s choice.
