Brandon Raymond Crawford, 22, of Summerfield, rode a bicycle up to the store on U.S. 301 at 2:21 p.m. Sunday despite the fact he had previously been ordered to stay away from the location, according to an arrest report from the Sumter County Sheriff’s Office. He left before law enforcement arrived. He returned to the store at 3:53 p.m. and took a bag of pretzels valued at $2.25 and a bottle of water valued at $1, the report indicated. He then rode away on his bicycle down U.S. 301.

A deputy caught up with Crawford, who was eating the bag of pretzels.

He was arrested on charges of possession of drug paraphernalia, theft and trespassing.

A check revealed a previous arrest in Sumter County for petit theft in January 2014 and an arrest for petit theft in September 2014 in Broward County.

In 2013, he was arrested in the theft of items from golf carts parked at Beef O’ Brady’s at Southern Trace Plaza in The Villages. You can read more about that arrest HERE
