Barbara Ann (Pytel) Lips, 66, The Villages, Florida, passed away on December 15, 2017 at Ocala Regional Medical Center, Ocala, Florida surrounded by her loving husband and children. Barbara was born on July 31, 1951 in Pawtucket, Rhode Island to her parents Joseph Charles Pytel and Genevieve (Glowacki) Pytel.

She was a former Registered Nurse in the Health Care field specializing in the field of Geriatric Care. She and her loving husband Dana moved from Middletown, Connecticut to Florida in 1996 eventually settling in The Villages in 2010. Barbara was of the Catholic faith and enjoyed crocheting and visiting and spending time with her loving grandchildren who were her pride and joy.

She is survived by her loving husband of 45 years: Dana A. Lips of The Villages, FL; a son: Dana and wife Janette Lips of Middletown, CT; a daughter: Kristina and husband Brian DiMartino of Middletown, CT; two brothers: Joseph and wife Lee Pytel and Charles and wife Cathy Pytel; a sister: Mary Sue and husband Frank Barney; brother-in-law George Keleher; her sister-in-law Lori and husband James Hecht; four grandchildren: Briana, Kayla, Breanna and Ericka; several nieces and nephews and many loving friends. She was predeceased by her sister Carolyn (Pytel) Keleher.

Memorial will be private at the discretion of the family. The family requests donation be made to the charity of one’s choice in Barbara’s loving memory.
