Louise M. Hour

Louise M. Hour, 88 of The Villages, FL, passed away on Monday, November 12, 2018 at Serenades at The Villages. Louise was born in Newark, New Jersey.

She married Larry Hourun on April 22, 1950.

Louise worked for Dunn & Bradstreet in New York City for many years. While working, Louise graduated from Fairleigh Dickinson University. After retirement from Dunn & Bradstreet, she was a successful real estate agent in the Barnegat, NJ area.

She moved to The Villages in 2004 to join her sister & brother-in-law Carolyn & Bill Muirhead. She was involved in many activities at The Villages, including instructing Bone Builders classes and being a very active volunteer at the Coconut Cove Recreation Center. Louise also worked in real estate in The Villages for a time.

Louise learned to make beautiful Pysanka Easter eggs from her in-laws and was very talented at a number of different crafts. She enjoyed traveling with friends and family. She went on a number of cruises and loved to go to Disney World. She was part of the Mickey Fanatics Club.

Most of all, Louise was a good friend, loving sister and wonderful aunt to her nieces and their families. Her rich sense of humor, quick wit and joy for life will be greatly missed.

She is survived by her sister, her nieces, Louise (Lee) Patch of Redwood City, CA and Lorraine Low of Columbus, IN and their families and many friends. She was predeceased by her husband and their daughter, Kathleen, who meant the world to Louise.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
