Jaqueline Bethine Foster ‘Beth’ Baxter

Jacqueline “Beth” Bethine Foster Baxter, 81, of Wildwood, Florida, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, December 22, 2018. Beth was born on January 29, 1937, in Weirsdale, Florida, to Levy and Marguerite Lacey.

She and her husband Billie owned the first Volkswagen automotive repair shop in Leesburg where she was a bookkeeper from 1963 – 1973.

Beth was a member of Coleman Assembly of God. In her younger years, she was a devoted Sunday school teacher of twenty plus years and served faithfully in many others areas of the ministry. She loved to water ski in her younger days. Beth enjoyed working in her yard and rescuing stray animals. She also enjoyed reading, and particularly, enjoyed the Bible; she also dabbled in writing poetry, and enjoyed crafts. Her memory will live on in the hearts of her loved ones as she left a legacy of love and kindness.

Beth is survived by her son, David Foster Sr., and his wife, Trish; granddaughter, Christina Montgomery (Lee); grandsons, David Foster, Jr. (Megan), Tim Douglas, Cody Douglas (Alissa), and Matthew Douglas; and six great grandchildren; siblings, Marguerite York (Jack), Patricia Brooks (David), Tommy Lacey (Shirley), and Haward Lacey. She is survived by many loving nieces and nephews and other relatives. She is preceded in death by her parents.

Services will be held on Thursday, December 27, 2018, at Beyers Funeral Home in Leesburg, FL. Visitation will be at 10 a.m. followed with the service at 11 a.m.

In memory of Beth’s love for animals, contributions may be made to the HSPCA, 994 CR 529A, Lake Panasoffkee, Florida 33538.
