THE VILLAGES — Arthur “Larry” Boyd, Jr., 63, passed from this life Thursday, September 25, 2014. Born in Winchester, MA he was the son of the late Arthur L., and Harriet (Howes) Boyd. Larry was a retired carpenter specializing in residential construction in the area north of Boston. He served his country in the Air Force during the Vietnam War. Larry moved to The Villages from Lowell, MA in 2007. He enjoyed golf, but had a passion for archery. He was a very active member of The Villages Archery Club. Larry was most proud of his marriage to his wife Susan, his family, and his work as a finish carpenter. He leaves his wife, Susan (Montgomery) Boyd, daughters Keri Lynne Allen of Amherst, NH and Jessica Boyd-Cooper of Billerica, MA, and grandchild, Maeve Allen. Siblings include Judy Trinidade (Fred) of Nashua, NH, Bonnie White (Ron) of Ossipee, NH, Karen Boyd-Carr (Rick) of Windham, NH, Daniel Boyd of Ossipee, NH, and Laura Toscano (Tony) of Clearwater, FL. The family will receive relatives and friends at a Gathering to be held at the Hiers-Baxley Funeral Services, 1511 Buenos Aires Blvd., The Villages on Tuesday, September 30, 2014 from 1 to 2 PM. A Memorial Service will follow at 2 PM. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Cornerstone Hospice, 601 Casa Bella, The Villages, FL 32162.
