No longer an advocate for The Villages

Bill Dowd
Bill Dowd

We are UPSET with the Villages Health care system and the way The Villages presented their services. We have had Blue Cross Blue Shield F plan for many years. Every medical facility in the country accepts our program  except one GUESS WHO??? The Villages!! We have been with the Village Health  care system for three years, it WAS the best system we ever had UNTIL NOW.

We read in the Villages-News.com that we can no longer use the Villages Health care system unless we purchase the Villages Health insurance. We never received any notification regarding these changes, finally we did receive a letter. Don’t you think with something as  important as this we should have been notified earlier this year so that we could make plans? This wasn’t a spur of the moment decision.

I understand that businesses need to make a profit but, DON’T  throw out the people that helped you start your business.

I had a 10-day delay in my medication refill. I called my doctors office and found out they no longer refill prescriptions from emails or texts. I have been getting this prescription for three years from the same pharmacy. Again NO COMMUNICATION!!!!  During that conversation I also found out my doctor left the program, again no communication. I have had 3 doctors in 3 years, what does that tell you.

I WAS an advocate for the Villages with visitors,  NO LONGER.

We are disappointed In the direction this community is heading, so much so we have put our home up for sale and are moving out of The Villages.
