Charlie J. Troell, 86, passed away July 1st, 2015. Charlie was born and raised in Englewood, NJ. He served in the US Navy during the Korean War as an Electrician onboard the USS Valley Forge and the USS Sicily. His task force provided close air support for United Nations forces during every major battle of the war. After leaving the Navy Charlie was a AAA softball player. Charlie was a retired professional safety engineer. Charlie loved playing the game of golf. He won numerous tournaments and made three holes in one Charlie is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Paula, and their four children; Kathleen Stauter, Thomas, Robert and Charles Junior, eight grandchildren, and five great grandchildren. A prayer service will be held at 2PM Wednesday July 8, 2015 with visitation following until 4PM. Interment will take place at a later date at Florida National Cemetery.
