David W. Markle

David W. Markle, 79, of The Villages, FL, passed away Friday, September 22, 2017 after a short battle with cancer.

He and his wife, Lynn moved to The Villages in 2004 from New Hampshire. He was raised in the state of New York and educated at SUNY. His 43 year career in banking and commercial lending included many accomplishments and commendations.

David’s ability to listen and accept others allowed him to form many lasting relationships. He loved people; but he loved his family most, they were the center of his world. His favorite pastimes were walking on the beach with Lynn and hiking in the mountains with Stacy. David enjoyed baseball, particularly the Red Sox and golf. He worked as an Ambassador and Starter at Mallory Hill Country Club.

He is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Lynn; daughter, Stacy and brother, Glenn (Shirley) Markle.

A funeral mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday, September 29, 2017 at St. Mark the Evangelist Catholic Church. Later on Friday, the family will receive friends from 2 – 4 p.m. at Hiers-Baxley Funeral and Cremation Life Event Center, 3975 Wedgewood Lane, The Villages, Florida 32162.
