Why a golf cart fee for executive courses?

To the Editor:

With all the talk recently about amenity fees, I was wondering why we must pay to drive our golf carts on the executive golf courses, $4 a round or $150+ a year.
Why not charge for pickleball (court fee for tennis already in place)?
Why not charge a fee for softball? Each team for each game played for usage and maintenance of the softball fields?
Do we charge the polo club a fee?
Do you have to pay each time you attend an activity at one of the recreation centers?
I bet those of us south of 466 are just seeing the start of fees being levied by the Developer. So much for my amenity fee not ever going over $150, a quote from our sales marketing person when we bought out house in 2008.
OK, I really would like to know why you have to pay for driving your own cart to play a round of golf on the executive courses. The rest of my ranting is to get you ready for what is coming down the road.
